The Tour of Duty Run Across America
The Tour of Duty Run Across America will be going through Rocky River on Saturday Sept. 4th at approximately 10:00 AM.  The intended route will be along Hilliard Rd. from the City’s western border to Lakeview Avenue, north on Lakeview Avenue to Detroit Road and along Detroit Road to the Marian Ramp to Lakewood. There will be a short ceremony at Rocky River Middle School beginning at 11:00 AM at the September 11 Memorial that is housed at the building.  Posted Friday, September 03, 2010

Sale of Rocky River City School District Bonds

Rocky River residents and business owners are invited to attend a bond investment seminar to be held at the Rocky River Board of Education, 21600 Center Ridge Road, on Wed., Sept. 8 at 6 PM.  This seminar will cover the upcoming sale of school bonds and will include information about investing in the bonds. The meeting will be held in the Board Room and is expected to last approximately one hour.

RRCSD Earns "Excellent With Distinction"
The Rocky River City Schools received an "Excellent with Distinction" rating on the 2010 State Report Card.  This is the highest rating available.  To earn this designation, the Rocky River City Schools met 100% of the 26 state indicators.  Posted Saturday, August 28, 2010
Lake Rd. / Phase 2 Construction Project
The Ohio Department of Transportation, the City of Rocky River, the Rocky River Police Department and the Rocky River City School District have been working together to prepare for the upcoming Lake Road / Phase 2 construction project.  Traffic on Detroit Rd. may increase due to the detour, so parents and students are encouraged to allow extra time in case the trip to school takes longer than usual. Parents are also asked to remind students of safety guidelines when driving, riding or walking to school.  Students should only cross the road where there is a crossing guard on duty.

New RRHS Stadium PA System
The family of former Major League Baseball pitcher and Cleveland Indians announcer Herb Score is taking the lead in replacing the old PA system at the Rocky River High School stadium.  Nancy Score, Herb’s widow, contacted superintendent Dr. Michael Shoaf and offered to help with replacing the system in memory of her husband, who passed away in 2008. Posted Thursday, August 19, 2010
New Rocky River Teachers Welcomed by Chamber
The Rocky River Chamber of Commerce welcomed ten new teachers to the Rocky River City School District with a luncheon at Westwood Country Club on August 19 and a bag of goodies donated by local merchants and businesses. Posted Thursday, August 19, 2010
EZpay Available for Goldwood, Kensington & RRMS
Parents with students at Goldwood, Kensington and Rocky River Middle School may pay school fees online using EZpay.  Students attending Rocky River High School will receive an invoice for school fees in September and may pay online at that time.  More information available here
