The River boys claimed 18th place, as both teams closed out their first week of action this spring.

The Pirate girls were paced by the efforts of sophomore Morgyn Cruz, who took second place in the long jump, and senior Sam Coleman, who placed fourth in the 1600-meter run. Cruz earned her silver in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet-and-one-half-inch. River's biggest point haul was in the 4x800-meter relay. The Buccaneers took first place when the foursome of Katie Stirm, Allie Dewey, Grace Lavelle, and Coleman crossed the wire in 10:02.32.

Leading the charge for the Rocky River boys were Owen Kleckner (sixth in the 110-meter hurdles) and Majid Abuaun (eighth in the 800).

Athletes representing 27 schools competed in the meet.
