Sweep success! River takes two from Rockets

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River swept Bay in Great Lakes Conference home meet on Thursday. The River boys' team prevailed, 79-58; the Pirate girls earned an 88-58 victory

The boys' team won two relays (4x100-meter, 4x400), the 110-meter high hurdles (Owen Kleckner), 300 hurdles (Isaac Linville), 800-meter run (Luke Dorenkott), 200 (Nic DiSalvo), 3200 (Seth Williams), and long jump (Charlie Sales). In addition to taking first in the 300 hurdles, Linville was in on the winning 4x4, and he took second in the 110 high hurdles and high jump. DiSalvo added to his win in the 200 with a relay first (4x1), a second-place finish in the 100, and a third-place finish in the high jump.

The girls won 10-of-17 events. Rocky River won three relays (3200, 4x8, 1600), the 100 hurdles (Makenna Pfaff), 100-meter dash (Sarah Mazzei), high jump (Caroline Sidoti), 1600 (Brianna Chaves), 400 (Keira Vesy), 300 hurdles (Makenna Pfaff), and 800 (Sam Coleman).
