"
This market tour is an event that truly would not be able to happen without the PTA grant.  We saw this tour as a great way to show our exchange student Cleveland and for all students (exchange and "permanent" RR kids) an opportunity to celebrate the diversity in Cleveland by exploring the markets several ethnicities have established here.  Lolly the Trolley is allowing us to completely customize our tour.  This is an exceptional opportunity that will be very memorable (and delicious!)."

"Last year, the RRHS PTA awarded the high school band a mini-grant of $250 to purchase music for the concert band. Three years ago, the growth of the high school band necessitated the addition of a second concert band. This has been a great move for all students involved; however, our collection of concert band music isn't extensive enough to best fit the needs of both groups. Thus, we requested $250 to purchase music for the holiday concert as well as the OMEA District competition in March. We purchased four pieces of music which I will be able to use again in the future. Thanks once again!"
Mr. Ryan Hudec, RRHS Band

"Student mini grants give students the opportunity to contribute to funding
something that they are passionate about, much like the way that the PTA
contributes to kids. The idea of mini grants for students models altruism and
empowers students to advocate for their club or project and its needs. Again,
much like a community advocates for their childrens' needs.  Student mini grants
are a "real-life" learning opportunity for students."

NOT TO BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED - RRHS PTA

Clubs, activities, sports teams and classes were the beneficiaries of grants funded by PTA this past school year. This new program offered by PTA allowed RRHS students to make on-line applications for projects up to $250. In total, PTA funded well over $2000. Applicants included Student Council, Swim/Diving Team, Science Olympiad, Forensics and the Baseball team to name a few.

Student Mini-grants are once again the primary focus of PTA for this school year. Your $10 PTA membership dues are valuable in supporting this program. There are no meeting or volunteer requirements to join. In order for an grant to be eligible for consideration one parent of the applicant must be a PTA member. Additionally the application must be co-signed by a staff person involved with the club who is also a PTA member. Please consider filling out the online application and using Paypal, or printing the form and providing it with a check. Any donations made to RRHS PTA will also be earmarked for Mini-grants.

PTA Meetings are held every other month at RRHS on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m.and last for an hour.  Join us 11/20/12, 1/22/13, 3/19/13 and 5/21/13. If you are interested in participating on a committee, please contact
